Let's talk about Strength

"Fear you not; for I am with you; be not dismayed ; for I am your Ahlahayam; I will strenghten you; yea, I willhelp you; yea; I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. " ~Isaiah 41:10

Recently a close family member of mine was diagnosed with an incurable sickness. Not only has this been difficult to hear, but to watch them go thru it has been equally difficult. Keeping their spirits up and trying to help them navigate their "new normal" has been something that I never thought that would be a thing. It has been emotionally draining because all you want to do is take their pain away, but knowing that you're helpless to do so is completely disheartening. 

When speaking to another family member about it earlier today, I was reminded that I have to stay strong because this person was going to need me. And they were correct. Whenever you're faced with something that tests your emotional and spiritual self, you have to remember that the Most High is whom you will rely on to get your strength. HE determines everything, including the outcome for said family member going thru this sickness.  

As hard as it is, times like this is when prayer is essentially important. Networking with those whom are in the Word also helps, because it will also help stregthen your mind with encouragement. But again, the ultimate source of strength is The Most High. Pray to him, speak to him, lay all your burdens out to him. He will provide that comfort that you will need to get thru any situation.
