Hey Sis, let's talk about receiving advice

"Yahawah is far from the wicked: but he hearth the prayer of the righteous. The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat. The ear that hearth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. He that refuseth instruction despieth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. The fear of Yahawah is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. "-Proverbs 15:29-33.

I see this everyday on social media especially the online groups for Israelite women. Women are asking for advice about their own problems and marital situations. Sometimes it's something simple like managing a busy schedule or sometimes it something very serious like getting out of an abusive situation. With every single scenario ADVICE is given. Sometimes the advice is great...other times it's horrible advice. Then when certain advice is given out, it causes other Sisters to feel some sort of way and they clap back causing strife in an already delicate situation.

Advice can be given, but it's up to the reciever on what to do with it. You can give the proven advice that you know is correct. But if the reciever feels some sort of way about you, they will disregard it. I've had that issue nearly my whole life. I've bee called everything under the sun, from a "know it all" or "smarty pants" because I would give or "volunteer" advice even if not asked. I've gotten better about it, but I have to bite my tongue to not comment on things that I see because of how it's percieved.

With that being said, don't let things like that deter. you. If you have any reason to give sound advice, do so and make sure that it's the correct advice. Don't worry about how the other person percieves it. Can someone else give that same advice? Absolutely! The difference between you and that other person...did they just copy you or did they get their advice from the Most High? Did He guide them in giving that advice? Did He show them how to execute it? You will be able to tell based on the results.

Giving sound advice is never a bad thing. Don't ever let the world make it seem like it is a bad thing. Remember you're not part of the world if you're a child of the Most High. You're chosen for a reason which means that you will stand out. Dont' be afraid to stand out for those reasons.

Have a great day Sis!
