Hey Sis..let's talk about reading your Word

"This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you mayest observe to do according to all that is written therin; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success."-Joshua 1:8

The common thing that I see amongst our Sisters is that a lot of us don't read the Word. A lot of us are still doing the habits of  our old way of life. I'll use Christian church as an example. Depending on the denomination, a lot of you never opened your Bibles while attending Christian church. In the one that I used to attend, a lot of folks didn't even carry a Bible. They simply watched what was put on the screen in front of them, and that satisfied their" Bible reading." Unfortunately, that also leaves too many variables on what is true and what is in correct context. Anyone can post a Bible verse, (myself included).

Now how many of you Sisters actually go to the Bible yourself and READ IT? How often do you go to the Word without going to social media to ask a question or to ask for Bible verses? How many times do you actually take notes and then reference back to those notes whenever a problem arises?  Each morning before I write these posts, I have to do a little bit of research. Doing so makes me actually OPEN MY BIBLE and read the Word for myself, so that I get some understanding, and some accountablity.  It's so easy to let someone else do it for you, why not make it a habit of doing it for yourself?

Reading the Word not only keeps you accountable, but it also helps you to know the knowledge to not only help yourself, but to help others as well. A lot of our Sisters could be helped and help themselves, if they only picked up the Word and READ IT. You would know what the law says, you would know if you're wrong, you would know the answers to lots of questions. Still reach out to your fellow sisters if you need help or context, but read for understanding,...read for YOURSELF.

Have a great day Sis! You got this!
